They will be back in the Big Dance, they may take some beatings along the way with the schedule they have, but it will make the stronger in the end. Not sure how far they can go in the NCAA, at least past the first round, maybe second, depending on draw.

He will get 15 wins and they will not make the NCAA's or NIT. 2nd poss 3rd round of Sun Belt. He still has some of Steph's players so they will win a few more.

My guess is they will win 17 games this year. No ncaa but maybe a nit bid.

I find it hard to believe with all of these predictions of no NCAA for MT when they just went to Georgia and beat the Lady Dawgs, the #8 team in the country. I think Rick is gonna eventually lead MT to the big time, I just think all of the others outside of vandy and ut just dont want to see it happen

I agree...Rick is going to take them far....that win tonight was the first step......and they nearly got the number one team in the nation to start the season.

LaCondra Mason has been released from the team.

She hasn't got near the minutes this year.

Whats up?

For one, Starr Orr has stepped it up a little after having her minutes getting drastically reduced by the play of LaConda Mason last season. Now Orr had turned the tables and now was getting a majority of the starts and apparently it did not sit too well with Daddy Mason. Rick is gonna have a few here and there leave Middle because the type of talent he's bringing in, some girls are going to leave because they wont get the playing time they think they deserve. Rick is one dominant post player away from hitting it big

They are doing good in the Sun Belt but if they were playing SEC, ACC, Big 10 every night then you would see an average team.

If you play enough top 20 ranked teams eventually you'll knock one off.

I figured the excuses would come some time. The Sun Belt is no ACC, but its a pretty good conference in its own right, fact is Middle is 24-3, nationally ranked and it appears Insell is just getting started

Lady Raiders are not looking to shabby, looks like Insell can coach a little bit.

He is a good coach but you have to give Stephany Smith credit for the team that she left him. I could have won the sun belt coaching her recruits. wink.gif

Well, my predition of 17 wins was really off this year. MTSU did a good job and actually had a chance to get to the sweet 16. I don't think they will do as well next year without Chrissy Givens. Maybe a nit bid next year.

Wrong again, because next year you will see Insell's system operate at its finest. Rick will now have 12-15 girls to throw out on the floor. Holt will fill in for Givens. We may not win more games, but next years team is even better
